Interviewing using a questionnaire

The PICTURE project: English

Using a questionnaire
The core of PICTURE is a series of personal interviews to be conducted by students with native speakers on selected intercultural aspects. From our questionnaire students can make a selection of questions. Experiments have shown that 10 questions is about the right number to ask.

How to Interview
In this module we show how students can conduct these interviews. Students should study this module on their own. Experiments have shown that it is best to have two students carry out the interviews, with one asking the questions and the other one making notes, as can be seen here.

Results
It is suggested that students write a brief report after the interview(s) for their portfolio. Ideally, students also fill in the responses in our central database via this special website.
