Hello I'm from Belgium and I would like to talk to you about outward appearances. The media put a lot of pressure on us to look younger, fitter, stronger, better, more beautiful all the time and especially in Belgium I have the feeling that this is partly the result of the introduction of commercial channels. I find that horrible, to be honest, because it tells you something about not being able to have what you want and to have unrealistic aims.
In the same way, of course, there is the problem of obesity which is I think now is, more than 25% of Belgians officially count as being overweight. So you have all these differences and contrasts and unhappiness because of this.
Of course there is also.... outward appearance has to do with wearing clothes. People wear whatever they like these days, but I feel it is important to be able to express yourself, to know what you are doing according to the situation.
